One Pot Creamy Chicken and Noodles

Total time: Less than 30 minutes

3  cups water
1   tablespoon chicken-flavored bouillon granules
8  ounce wide egg noodles
1   cup frozen mixed vegetables
1⁄3  cup chopped onion
1   103⁄4-ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1   cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1⁄2  cup milk
2  5-ounce cans chunk breast of chicken, drained, flaked (see note)

In medium saucepan, over medium heat, bring water and bouillon to a boil. Stir in uncooked noodles. Cover and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add vegetables and onion. Cover and cook 5 minutes, or until noodles are tender and most liquid is absorbed.

Add soup, cheese and milk; mix well. Stir in chicken and pepper. Cook 4 to 5 minutes or until hot, stirring frequently.

Makes 6 servings.

Note: Canned chunk turkey or ham may be substituted for the chicken; if using ham, omit bouillon.
