American Stir-Fry |
"This can be on the table in less than 30 minutes," says Alice Sheets of Central City. "Start the rice first and let it cook while working on the stir fry." American Stir- Fry 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1/4 cup soy sauce 3/4 to 1 pound pork or chicken, cut into bite-size pieces 1/2 medium yellow onion, chopped 1 package frozen California-blend vegetables (carrots, cauliflower and broccoli) Cooked rice Heat oil in large skillet or wok; add soy sauce, meat and onion; cook, stirring constantly, on medium to medium-high heat, for 3 to 5 minutes until meat and onion are almost done. Add vegetables and cook until veggies are tender-crisp. Serve over hot cooked rice with soy sauce or sweet and sour sauce. Alice Sheets, |
