Kikkoman Shrimp

Kikkoman Shrimp
Preparation time: 4 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes

12 to 14 large (jumbo) shrimps

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 large spring onion, sliced

1 tablespoons fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced

2 small garlic cloves, sliced

1 small green pepper, diced

1 small red pepper, diced

Sauce:

1/3 cup soy sauce

1 teaspoon sugar

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons cornflour

4 tablespoons cold water

Spring onion for garnish

Peel and clean the shrimps (keep the tail if you prefer).

Combine all the sauce ingredients; mix well, and keep aside.

Heat the oil in a frying pan until hot, then add the spring onion, ginger, garlic, shrimps, stir-fry for 4 minutes.

Add peppers, stir fry 1 minute.

Pour the sauce into the pan, cook for 5 minutes or just until the sauce is almost completely evaporated and shrimps is tender.

Garnish with onion and serve it with Basmati rice.
