Country Ham Casserole

Reader Hilda Knick of Grand Island shared this recipe for leftover ham.

Country Ham Casserole

1 8-ounce package noodles, cooked
1/2 pound or 2 cups cut up cooked ham
1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 10 3/4-ounce can condensed cream of celery soup
1 8-ounce green peas, drained
3/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard powder (optional)
French fried onion pieces

In 3-quart saucepan, combine cooked noodles, ham, 1 1/4 cups cheese, soup, peas, milk and mustard.

Heat, covered for 7 to 8 minutes stirring once.

Top with remaining cheese and onion pieces.

Let stand, covered for 8 minutes before serving.

Note: Using the microwave, cooking time is 20 minutes.

Makes 4 servings.
