Try this recipe from Hormel ... it's one for mom and dad!
Carne Asada
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Total time: 30 minutes
1 16-ounce jar salsa
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage or 2 teaspoons dried rubbed sage
1 tablespoon tequila, if desired
4 (about 6 ounces each) boneless rib-eye steaks, 1⁄2 inch thick
3⁄4 cup shredded Co-Jack cheese
Heat broiler. In medium saucepan, combine salsa, lime juice, sage and tequila. Cook and stir over medium heat until heated through. Broil steaks 6 inches from heat source 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness. Spoon hot salsa over steaks; sprinkle with cheese.
