Taco Soup

This recipe is great on a cold day," says Tonya Bannister of Marquette. "My family likes to add different kinds of cheeses and crushed Dorito chips for a variation."

Taco Soup

1 1/2 pounds ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 cup of chopped onion

3 cans of chili beans

1/4 cup of chopped green chilies

1/2 cupped on diced tomatoes

2 cups of water

16-ounce can whole kernel corn

1 package taco seasoning

8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

Sour cream

Brown ground beef with onion and taco seasoning. Drain and set aside. Place chili beans, green chilies, diced tomatoes, corn and water in a large pot. Bring to a boil and add meat mixture. Boil for 5 to 10 minutes until hot. Serve in bowls with a dollup or sour cream and handfull of shredded cheddar cheese.
