Baked Beans with Ground Beef

"Here is the simplest main dish recipe I own, a favorite of our family for many years," says Ellen Campbell of Central City.

Baked Beans with Ground Beef

(2) 15 or 16-ounce cans of pork and beans, not drained

1.25-ounce envelope dry onion soup mix

1 pound ground beef, browned and drained

Combine all ingredients in a 1-1/2 quart casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes. Or quicker yet, heat in microwave oven for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring halfway through.
