These quick and easy pizza skewers put a twist on ordinary homemade pizza.

Whether your making a family dinner or planning a party, these pizza skewers are a sure-pleaser for all ages.

Loading the skewers can be a fun family activity or just a shortcut around time-consuming crusts.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Yield: 8 skewers

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 cup sliced Italian sausage

1/2 French bread loaf, toasted and cubed

1/2 green pepper, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup large fresh mushrooms, quartered

1/2 cup zucchini slices

1/4 cup Italian dressing

1/4 cup shredded mozzarella

1 cup spaghetti sauce, warmed

Preheated oven to 350°

 

Slice bread into 1 inch pieces. Cut each slice further into four cubes.

Place bread in toaster oven on broil until lightly toasted.

Thread meat, pre-toasted bread, and vegetables onto skewers.

Arrange loaded skewers in a single layer on a baking sheet and brush with Italian dressing.

Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.

Serve with warm spaghetti sauce for dipping.
