Simply Cookin' Chef Mitzi Stinson shows you how to make easy Cajun-style Baked Tilapia in 20 minutes or less.

This baked dish has less fat than fried fish favorites and the Cajun spices enhance the fresh flavor.

Pair this flaky fillet with a side of rice or steamed veggies for a complete and healthy dinner.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 8-10 minutes

Yield: 6 to 8 servings

4 tsp. oil

1T paprika

2 tsp. thyme leaves (crushed)

1tsp. onion powder

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1/8 to 1/4 tsp. ground pepper

1 lb. tilapia fillets

1/4 cup green pepper

 

Preheat oven to 400 F.

In a small bowl, combine oil, paprika, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, salt & ground pepper.

Spread mixture evenly on one side of each tilapia fillet.

Place fillets on a lightly oiled baking pan, seasoning side up.

Bake until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, about 8 to 10 minutes.

Garnish with green pepper strips.
