Simply Cookin' Chef Mitzi Stinson demonstrates how to build a simple and delicious Turkey Club Bake from the crust up.

This pizza-style version of the popular turkey club sandwich will please hungry mouths of all ages. It includes heaping portions of all the essentials - turkey, bacon, tomato, cheese and green onions.

Using pre-cooked turkey breast saves you time in the kitchen without sacrificing nutrition. To create an even lower calorie version of the bake, use low-fat cheese sparingly. Or, increase the nutritional value by adding green peppers and other veggies.

2 cups Original Bisquick mix

1/3 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing

1/3 milk

2 cups cubed cooked turkey

2 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)

6 sliced bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled (can use ready to serve bacon, just follow package instructions to prepare)

1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing

1 large tomato, chopped (1 cup)

1 cup shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese (4 oz.)

Heat oven to 450ºF.

Grease cookie sheet.

Stir Bisquick, 1/3 cup mayonnaise and the milk in medium bowl until soft dough forms.

Press dough into 12x8-inch rectangle on cookie sheet.

Bake dough 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Mix turkey, onions, bacon and 1/4 cup mayonnaise.

Spoon over crust to within 1/4 inch of edges.

Sprinkle with tomato and cheese.

Bake 5 to 6 minutes or until mixture is hot and cheese is melted.

Low-Calorie Tip:
To reduce the calories in the bake, use light mayonnaise, non-fat milk and reduced-fat cheese. Another option is to reduce the amount of cheese used for a topping.
