And the winner is…
“I Walk the Line” by Johnny Cash! Central Nebraska has spoken and they have told us that they love Johnny Cash. On behalf of Jack, George, Pete, Mark and myself, we would like to thank everyone who participated in the voting. Over 46,00 votes were cast in the tournament! That’s amazing! We would also like to thank Matt and Julia at KSYZ for putting up with talking to Jack and George each week, and we also want to thank everyone who stopped by our weekly live chats to discuss good music.
On a date that is yet to be dtermined, the Independent will be sponsoring a free showing of the film, “Walk the Line” starring Joaquin Pheonix and Reese Witherspoon at The fantastically awesome Grand Theater in downtown Grand Island. We are still ironing out the details and will let you know as soon as everything’s set in stone.
